Left Portland for Crater Lake. Arrived around 1pm. Awesome, at least the first time one sees it. Just like I've heard, the water is sapphire blue!!!!!! Did the rim drive, stopping at various overlooks.
Staying at the Crater Lake Lodge. Another lovely, large, old, rustic hotel. Lots of timber and stone with a huge fireplace and high ceilings. Having dinner here, then to bed.
